A woman named Margaret Spellings has been named… what else: Secretary of Education.
If all Spellings achieved was to get people to spell correctly, she will have accomplished the educational feat of the century.
Well that spelling thing, yes, but also get people to use their/there/they’re properly, and it’s/its properly, and the ubiquitous misplaced or unplaced apostrophe.
And make people stop saying things like “I seen her yesterday”.
And make people write using actual paragraphs.
And get that too/to thing right also.
And use capitals where they belong.
