Second liberal media story on Liberal who got no jail time: No mention of “Liberal”.

As I did yesterday, this morning I read a story about the hellacious Liberal Party sponsorship scandal and one of its benefactors (aside from the Liberal Party itself), Paul Coffin, who, after admitting he committed multiple counts of fraud against essentially YOU, and pleading guilty to 15 counts of fraud, got no jail time, at all.

I mentioned how remarkable it was that in the whole story, they in the liberal media managed to not mention the words “Liberal Party” even once.  Not once.  Not once in the whole story—a story about the Liberal Party and their corruption and scandal.  They morphed it into the “federal sponsorship scandal”.

Today, the National Post managed the same feat. A scan of the entire story makes no mention of “Liberal Party”.

Thankfully, columnist Don Martin of the National Post set readers straight in his column tucked away on page 16—well set straight those readers who weren’t bamboozled by the front-page story which never mentioned the words Liberal Party even once.  He said this and more:

The final damage: $1.5 million stolen in 15 acts of fraud over five years courtesy of contracts lubricated by donations to the Liberal Party of Canada.

See, it’s not donations to the “federals”, it was donations to the “Liberals”.

The good Toronto Sun and other responsible news media also reminded Canadian voters and truth seekers today that this is a story about the fraud, corruption and scandal of historic proportions, the Liberal Party of Canada, Jean Chretien, and Paul Martin, for whom a plurality of Canadians voted in the last election.

Nope, the mainstream media isn’t liberal!

UPDATE (8:45 AM PDT):
The Globe and Mail did mention the word “Liberal” in their story, but only in the context of how Paul Martin explained it all away—as “an aberration”.  Or what your child might call an “oopsie”.  Except that I think in Martin’s case, it’s “oops—we got caught this time”.

They opened their pro-Martin Martin says this and that story with the headline which fails to mention “Coffin” or Liberal” but does promote Paul Martin:  “Martin assails scandal’s ‘unacceptable aberrations’”.  See it’s not a story about Liberal Party corruption, to them—it’s a story about Martin’s tough no-nonsense attitude about those awful scoundrels.  And their story does the same morphed history re-write that the rest of the mainstream liberal media has apparently decided will be their modus operandi:  It’s not a Liberal Party scandal, it’s a “federal sponsorship scandal”.

The federal sponsorship scandal cast a shadow over both elected politicians and members of Canada’s civil service…

SECOND UPDATE (9:16 AM PDT):

Canada’s state-run news media, the CBC division of the Liberal Party (at their multi-million-dollar state-run web site), also joined the rest of the liberal-left mainstream media bandwagon in somehow managing to not type the word “Liberal” in their whole story.  AND they also managed to morph the story into….. yes, you’re getting it now…. the “federal sponsorship scandal”—nothing to do with Liberals!

Even their headline promotes their hidden agenda: “Paul Coffin sentenced in federal sponsorship scandal

Coffin—the first person charged in the federal sponsorship scandal—has been given a conditional sentence of two-years less a day to be served in the community.

I’m starting to think the liberal mainstream media take meetings together and agree on the pro-liberal-left wording.

Just because I’m paranoid doesn’t mean there isn’t somebody behind me.
