Liberal Frenchman Dion joins Socialist Layton: uses Canadian troop deaths to further political aims

image Liberal Frenchman Stephane (the “Green Guru”) Dion joined the far-leftist purveyor of a global socialist order today, in using the death of six heroic Canadian soldiers today to further his political goals.

He was not embarrassed. And there is no sign that either he or Jack Layton will formally apologize to our nation for their betrayal of our nation and for the demeaning of our countrymen fighting on their behalf and that of our nation.  They will apparently not apologize for turning the death of our fighting men into political fodder in order to score cheap political points.

Personally, I’m on Canada’s side.  I strongly believe in our troops and the work they have done, and the sacrifices they have made, and I feel it has been worth it.  And I strongly support the mission.  I am Canadian.

Meanwhile, pleasing sounds to the minds of liberal-leftist appeasers like Dion and Layton, from none other than the folks who agree with them wholeheartedly:  Al-Qaeda:

New Video From Al Qaeda Number Two

July 04, 2007 3:09 PM

As Americans celebrate the 4th of July today, Al Qaeda’s top deputy Ayman Zawahiri is appearing in a new internet video praising jihadi fighters in Iraq and elsewhere. Dressed in all white and sitting before a news studio background, Zawahiri warns Americans that “Today, the wind – by grace of Allah – is blowing against Washington.”

In the hour and half long video, which surfaced today on the website Strategic Translations, a translation and terror analysis firm, Zawahiri urges his followers to hurry to Iraq, Afghanistan, Palestine, and Somalia.

He also offers a message of confidence to the jihadi fighters in prison saying that victory in Iraq and Afghanistan will come soon.

“You must be patient and steadfast,” he says. “Rejoice, for victory is near, with Allah’s permission, and the herds of crusaders have begun to split up and their sole concern has become searching for a way out.”

Those were the words Dion and Layton were searching for today.  Layton managed to declare that we’ve already failed and in fact we lost in advance.  He barfed out today: “It’s the wrong mission; it’s not working; it’s not going to accomplish the goals…”.  That should help our troops.  Not to be outdone, Dion wrongly latched on, like a hungry rat to French cheese, to some words our Prime Minister uttered the other day (on a day when our soldiers weren’t slaughtered by barbaric savage terrorists) about a consensus, and then went ahead took them totally out of context in order to score cheap political points on the backs of our dead Canadian soldiers.

Bravo.  Go team.
