Hi patriots! I’m on the mend, maybe. I have the right! (even if Liberals haven’t given it to me yet)

I just might be on the mend.  At least I can try to get the columnists’ columns posted up, maybe battle my email behemoth, and write a thing or two.  Being Friday, I may even drink a beer later tonight if this progress keeps up.  Plenty o’ fluids being so important, and all.

So wachya been doin’, Joel?
I’ve mostly been watching the American news from my post in bed or on the couch, or what I’ve been thinking of the PTBC Bed Bureau (because I enjoy the humor).  A few times, I saw things that almost made me sit up and yearn to write up a blog entry with the dateline: “bed” or “couch”, but alas I have no laptop (plus if I did, I might have barfed on it, or sneezed or coughed on it, either way a yucky mess no amount of Purell could conquer).

It was especially when I saw things like CNN and NBC and ABC reporters and anchors mock and deride the good patriotic American citizens who attended Wednesday’s fantastic tea parties all over America, as dumb-ass hicks and conservative stooges and idiots (and far worse) and what they and the Obama administration has deemed as right-wing “extremists” (you know who you are all you grandmas and moms and pops and electricians and mechanics and bread bakers who believe in traditional American values!), that I just about chortled my tea all over the bed.

I couldn’t stand the thought of checking in on the far-left, state-owned CBC to see how they were covering the American tea parties (or not covering them), because I valued my recovery.  In fact Canadian news generally seems so trivial at this point, despite Liberal leader Michael Ignatieff’s idiotic (though I’m sure perceived by himself and his liberal-left media suckup minions as erudite and brilliant) admonition and guidance to Canadians that Canadians should be more patriotic, apparently on the basis of just because, and because I’m sayin’ it (unlike any others that he personally knows of).  This reminds me of the state-owned, state-run regulator of what we’re allowed to watch on TV and listen to on the radio and in what ratios and proportions and languages, the liberal-left’s CRTC division, which mandates that we watch Canadian-made TV manifestly on the basis that it is good, and good for us, it just is, trust us, we know best, shut up, just do it, NOW

I’ll cover the Ignatieff “patriotic” lunacy in a separate report.

Hey did I just hear on Fox News that President Obama is considering meeting with Hugo Chavez and Raul Castro?  Maybe the three amigos can offer-up a joint Bush-bashing el diablo statement, hopefully condemning American again!  (Iggy will be even more enthralled by the America stature-reducing Obama, then).
