As I have been doing a lot lately, let me start at the end of the story. And as I’ve said before, I don’t mean that in the apocalyptic way, although I do understand the confusion.
Here’s a quote from the end of a story about the hideously liberal Liberal government’s National Parole Board division, and a recent decision they made on a criminal in jail seeking parole. The Board member wrote this statement as a result of her reviewing an application (yes only one Board member needs to review these kinds of cases):
“Your institutional parole officer believes you to be an efficient criminal with no illusions of abiding by the laws governing society,” the board member wrote in her decision. “You have demonstrated only minimal concern for your local community and your attitude displays attributes of a self-centered ego, indifference to consequences and a blatant disregard for public safety.”
Stating Cameron was “devoid of social conscience,” the board member continued: ” You have not offered any evidence regarding your motivation to change and it is believed that your potential to return to the community as a law-abiding citizen is moderate.”
OK clearly, you’re thinking, that guy failed the test. And you’d be dead wrong.
Here’s the headline of the story now:
Drug dealer serves just one-sixth of sentence.
That’s right. Liberals at work. For “their” Canada. Not yours, mind you. Theirs.
