Here’s the ultimate symbolism of the change in power to the liberal Democrats in the U.S. following the mid-term elections: The first Muslim elected to Congress, Democrat Keith Ellison, a former ten-year member of the radical Nation of Islam, took his oath of office using ….an Islamic Quran. No, not the Bible.
As I watched the swearing in of Canada’s new Conservative cabinet, during which each swore on the Bible and ended their swearing in with “…so help me God”, I wondered if Ellison ended his with “…so help me Allah”. Or “…yeah yeah whatever, Allah Akbar”.
In the picture below which I captured off CNN, he smiles with all his pals including Nancy Pelosi, the new liberal Democrat Speaker of the House, who earlier today proclaimed she was now, and I quote, “the most powerful woman in America”, and then, surrounded by women, flexed her right arm like a muscle man for the fawning liberal media cameras. It seems even the liberal media is a little embarrassed about that one, so I’ve yet to capture that image but I promise I will.
Now it’s onto their important tasks of raising taxes, cutting and running from Iraq, mending fences with the French, ordering blocks of cheese, phoning Kim Jung Il for chats, appeasing Islamofascist terrorists, and being “progressive”.
