The Oozing Brian Poo of the Week Award, May 24, 2024

This week has many runners up. Most are Canadians, but all of them progressives or even further leftists. Most are patently dumb people too. But after due deliberation, and a shower, I have decided that The View’s Sunny Hostin wins the Oozing Brain Poo of the Week Award this week.

The gals were discussing the WNBA (I know, nobody watches the WNBA — until now! Read on!). The View’s Hostin lamented the fact that Caitlin Clarke, the new WNBA recruit, is only driving up numbers and viewership of the WNBA (which, yay, right?)… because she’s white and pretty. And straight. “She has pretty privilege.” Yup. A new kind of privilege.

For shame. White, pretty, and straight. The hat trick of awfuls for the progressive left. I hope she’s not Christian or Jewish! Or Republican!

No, to Hostin and the gals who all nodded along like utter dopes, her success has nothing to do with being an absolute star. A multiple record-breaker in high school and college at the NCAA level, this gal is not only universally loved by her teammates and increasing numbers of fans (she signs every autograph request, mingles with fans, etc.), she is a basketball wunderkind. Wikipedia says she is “regarded as one of the greatest collegiate players of all time.”

But it’s the whiteness, see. “Pretty privilege.” “White privilege.” That’s gotta be what’s driving her success.

Here’s a video of the ordeal from The Hill.

There are a million hot takes about this on X as you can imagine.  But this one summed it up pretty well for me:

It is to laugh. Now I must leave and fetch the roll of toilet paper.

UPDATE:
Oh shit (having nothing to do with the Brain Poo): After pressing “PUBLISH,” I found this additional quote at Wiki: “Clark attended Dowling Catholic High School in her hometown of West Des Moines, Iowa…”.  Catholic. Oh no. Catholic privilege.
