While the state-run CBC and other liberal-left media focus on the anti-American United Nations’ report today on civilian deaths in Iraq (mostly at the hands of other Iraqis—a fact they fail to emphasize in the Canadian media because they want you to think that Americas are killing innocent Iraqis—and mostly tiny children and old ladies of course —and on purpose!), they almost totally neglect this story:
Former U.N. Oil-for-Food Chief Benon Sevan Indicted Over Bribes From Saddam’s Regime
Former U.N. Oil-for-Food chief Benon Sevan has been indicted in New York federal court for allegedly taking bribes under the program from Saddam Hussein’s regime, sources told FOX News on Tuesday.
The charges came over a year after former Federal Reserve Chairman Paul Volcker completed an investigation for the United Nations into the massively corrupted Oil-for-Food program that operated in Saddam’s Iraq between 1996 and 2003.
Sources said the charges were based on $140,000 Sevan allegedly received in the form of oil voucher payments used in the $60 billion program run by the U.N. under former Secretary-General Kofi Annan. The money was allegedly used to pay off overdue credit cards and bills.

Gosh. A U.N. chief will be tried for bribery, and the U.N. searched for Saddam’s WMD for months and whatdoyaknow, couldn’t find any. No connection here.
