As if the state-run CBC’s earlier piece wasn’t enough (to be repeated throughout the day, whatever the case, no doubt) in which the state-run CBC hired a comedian to mock the leader of the Conservative Party of Canada, Stephen Harper, now on their “Politics” show they are currently doing a whole segment on Stephen Harper’s oh-so-lame-and-useless-attempt at “remaking” himself (they use the world “makeover” and “remake” and “revamp his image” and so on).
They’re not asking the Conservative Party about it, strangely enough, but rather, they’re tossing it around between a spokesman for the NDP, one from the Liberal Party, the Bloc Quebecois—who shockingly all heartily join in the state-run mocking —and yes they also managed to squeeze in Conservative MP Monte Solberg who tries to re-dignify Mr. Harper, Leader of the Opposition.
But just to reinforce the funny—nay, hilarious—aspect of Mr. Harper trying to “revamp” his horrible evil image, the state-run media runs these two photos that they took of Harper on the front lawn of the Parliament buildings tossing a football around with deputy leader Peter MacKay yesterday.
Apparently the CBC couldn’t find their color film for their state-owned photographic contraptions, so they had to resort to using black and white film which, darn the luck, makes the Conservative Party guys look like relics from days gone by. Backwards, if you will. Not “progressive” probably!
(Or are these Canwest Global pics? I guess the state-run media didn’t have any photographic contraptions at the Parliament Buildings.)
