State-owned CBC reporter suggests to Canadian news audience that Americans start paying more taxes

Canadian State-owned CBC's reporter Neil MacDonald  (Speaking about President Obama’s visit to China, China holding so much of the American debt, and exporting so much to America…):

CBC reporter Neil MacDonald: “There are of course other possibilities!  Americans could, for example, start paying taxes more in line with the rest of the western world, and reduce that government’s need for all that foreign borrowing!…”

—As broadcast on the state-owned socialism-reliant and therefore necessarily high-taxation-loving CBC’s very Soviet or Chinese-style “The National” news broadcast, to the Canadian proletariat masses, on their taxpayer’s dime, for the citizens’ economic edification.

Subject: Obamatons still think “stimulus” means spending

Joel,

There was a “typical” CBC story on The National on Tuesday night that would go well with your “Obamatons who thought and still think ‘stimulus’ means spending” article.  It was about the Obama visit to China.  [CBC reporter] Neil MacDonald wrapped the segment up by saying that the United States could solve its economic problems by stepping in line with other western countries and increase taxes.  Of course he didn’t mention the possibility of reducing government spending.  Go figure!

Take care,
Dwayne

Hi Dwayne,

Ah yes. Just what we (folks in China, Canada, or the U.S.) need:  left-wing state media propagandizing reporters (casting themselves as erudite economists in a position to suggest changes to American fiscal policy) to advance left-wing talking points for the useful idiots (in China or Canada or the U.S.), blithely pushing their tax-hiking, big-government obsession through every available channel.  This time it’s a dinner for three with the special fried rice:  it’s directly from a Canadian state-owned CBC news media reporter, broadcasting live about events in Communist China, through their (the Canadian state media’s) news show called “The National”, and it is suggested that Americans raise tax levels.  Yummy!  Alas, you’ll be hungry again in an hour — for any other ideas besides left-wing talking points.

From each according to his ability, to each according to his needs.  We are the CBC.  Now pay your taxes!  ‘Specially you richies!

The CBC’s unmistakable point: glibly get more Canadian stupids accustomed to the notion of the whole left-wing “progressive” politics concept of raising taxes — yes even now, in a time of deep recession.  In fact especially now!  Don’t waste a good crisis!  Make it sound obvious!  Use “of course” in your suggestion!  And (of course) don’t even mention the mere notion of, say, “for example”, as another “possibility”, reducing any of the massive government spending on myriad nanny-state, “progressive”, out-of-control entitlement programs, corporate and personal welfare schemes, bailouts, and sundry left-wing big-government, central planning and social engineering projects and schemes.  Like, say, the CBCReduce government spending?  Never heard of it!  Over to you, Peter!

To all socialists, the only answer available to any question is always more taxes, bigger government, more regulation, more spending,  and more central planning, Chinese-style, even though government borrowing and spending and meddling and myriad government failures in policy and oversight is precisely what caused the economic disaster we’re in, and what is ruining most of the economies of the erstwhile free western world.

In dim sum total:  what an idiot.  This is why I say watching the CBC actually makes you stupider by the second.

Thanks!
Joel

And since we’re talking about socialist/communist China and our state-owned, socialism-reliant CBC, let me take the opportunity to ask my perennial question, yet again: What kind of government competes against its own citizens in business for profits —- and especially in the forum of ideas and politics?   And by asking that question, you could ask it in reference to China or Canada.

And let me also reiterate the obvious, once again:  State-owned or state-run media should be banned in this country, and that notion enshrined in our constitution.   Actually that refers to China or Canada too.

Chinese food tonight!
