So was it “politics”, but golly, Scott Reid, have they in fact “gone to Hell”?

It was “politics” that brought the corrupt Liberal Party down.  Politics.  Corrupt politics and parties, namely the Liberal Party.  The Adscam Sponsorship corruption scandal, and those of Scott Reid and others who both advised, and then totally mangled the Liberal Party campaign machine in the last go-round.

With regard to the RCMP criminal investigation of Liberals number 844, this one concerning the demand originating from the NDP that the RCMP investigate Liberal Finance Minister Ralph Goodale and his alleged leak regarding his Income Trust tax announcements just prior to last election (which itself had, oh, approximately NOTHING to do with politics!), one very far-left newspaper, the Toronto Star, claims this morning in its article, entitled (in this typically nuanced shades-of-gray liberal fashion):
“Here’s proof politics here have gone to hell”
that it wasn’t politics at all.

“Here’s proof politics here have gone to hell”.  How elegant!

And you know it’s true, because in the article, well they’re very apolitical, and plus, it proves within it that insofar as Liberals are concerned at least, politics have gone to, and indeed are, in said Hell.  But of course they’re not referring to Liberals or liberals, themselves, the l’il angels.  It’s Conservatives who are in Hell, see?

Here’s the beginning of that Heavenly article which helps prevent politics from being interpreted by Canadians as having “gone to Hell” (with some notes from me in fiery red):

[apolitical sub headline:]

Harper is still exploiting a ‘scandal’ that he knows did not exist

[they know what he does and doesn’t know, like mind readers!]

[looong night, huh?  Burp.]

Scott Reid

[of “beer and popcorn” infamy.  He ain’t political.  Nope. Just a man seeking honesty and Christ-like moral integrity from politicos so as to keep them out of the Hell thing.]

Special to the Star

[“Well isn’t that special”?]

The formal conclusion of the RCMP’s investigation into income trusts tells us two things that we knew already. First, Ralph Goodale is a decent, honest man. Second, politics in this country have gone to hell.

[…according to the liberals’ global warming scientists.  It’s reportedly “very likely”!]

It also tells us that the RCMP inserted itself into last year’s election with either malice or incompetence under its former commissioner. But we already knew that too.

[…more facts from the Liberals’ political scientists.  It’s “very very likely”!]

Still, it is now confirmed by the police that there was no politically motivated or politically placed leak from Ralph Goodale, his office or that of anyone else associated with Paul Martin’s Liberal government. The cancerous allegations of criminal behaviour flung about by Stephen Harper and the Conservatives were without foundation.

[Actually Freudian Scott, if you were to be half-assed responsible about it, it wasn’t actually Conservatives who demanded the RCMP probe—at least not at first—it was your friends in the socialist fringes of the NDP, wasn’t it?.  But who cares about stupid “facts” when it’s “very extremely likely” you’re playing cheap pure partisan politics with history?]

Ironically, Scott Reid’s Freudian slip from political Hell and his accidental revelation to the world of the liberal-left’s hidden agenda, the “beer and popcorn” revelation, was as much responsible for the Liberal Party’s downfall as Ralph Goodale’s alleged corruption.  And the liberals’ beer and popcorn philosophy is another thing we know is true about liberals.  But that didn’t stop Scott Reid from lecturing the Toronto Star’s readers for another 8,000 words in his article this morning.

Nonetheless, apparently over at CTV.ca, they think it’s all about politics.  That’s why they have their article about it in their “POLITICS” section rather than their “CANADA” (“News”) section this morning.
