While the CTV/Globe and Mail (both owned by the liberal-friendly Bell Globemedia) conduct polls these days, they use the services of polling firm “Strategic Counsel”.
Then when they report on them, they often make sure (or is this simply an accident?) to bury the really bad-for-liberal-prospects stuff.
The first paragraph informs us that some of the things that effectively combat terrorism (hey: like the things they do in the U.S.!), are “draconian”. Again, that’s “draconian”. (Thanks for that information. I did not know these things were “draconian”.)
Canadians have no problem with deporting advocates of terrorism or suicide bombing, a new poll has found.
But support for other draconian measures—like detention without trial, infiltrating the Muslim community and restricting the number of Muslim immigrants—is considerably weaker.
Then, buried deep within the intriguing
nonsense
story, we find this not-so-good-for-liberals tidbit notwithstanding the fact that it’s by far the most important tidbit, and the one tidbit about which the liberal elites in the PMO are going to be scurrying about Parliament Hill in the coming weeks:
When asked: How well is Canada prepared to deal with a terrorist attack, only 24 per cent of respondents said this nation is well prepared or very well prepared, and 62 per cent think such an attack is at least somewhat likely within the next few years.
Watch for upcoming news about how well the liberals are securing our country, followed by a poll showing Canadians “trust Liberals” more than Conservatives to secure our country.
