A reader sent me this information from the Elementary Teachers Federation of Ontario web site — it’s in their Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgendered section. Yes they have a section devoted to nothing but that. They have a subsection called “Challenging Homophobia & Heterosexism“. “Heterosexism”! Shame on me for being a “heterosexist”! I prefer “heterophile”, but most teachers were educated in public schools so they wouldn’t comprehend the meaning of that.
At the bottom of their page they say this:
© Elementary Teachers’ Federation of Ontario 2005. Written material from this site may be reproduced in the public interests if the Elementary Teachers’ Federation of Ontario is credited…
Yes, my bringing this up is in the public interest, no doubt. And I most certainly credit the teachers’ labor union with this tripe.
Apparently, liberal-leftists are now officially completely absorbed by — obssessed beyond hope with — gayness and its promotion in every facet of our lives and that of our children, whether we like it or not. No, it’s no longer limited to one-track-minded liberal politicians and their friends, nor to liberal Hollywood which can’t think of one new TV show (even a “reality” show) or movie without including a ratio of 40% gays, or basing the entire premise on the positives of the gay lifestyle, or on how much smarter and cooler gay folks are than us straight design-challenged idiots.
Here we see academia and their labor union at work — not on things that educate the kids (at least not the way you’d have hoped) — but on leftist political activism and the promotion of homosexuality. And they’re not just “letting folks know”, but rather strongly encouraging the teachers to attend and disseminating various supplemental items like a “Pride kit” (protest signs?) and “curriculum resources…specifically lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender issues”, and so on, and they encourage folks to hang posters and help market the gayness. I presume they intend the teachers to place these gay pride posters right beside the ones they hung last week encouraging folks to go to church on Sunday.
Ontario PRIDE Events 2006
Stewards are encouraged to bring the Ontario Pride Events flyer to the attention of all members and post it on the ETFO board in the school.
A Pride kit including resources has been sent to local presidents to assist in planning participation at Pride events to ensure an ETFO presence.
Please also remind teachers that ETFO has produced several inclusive curriculum resources addressing equity issues and specifically lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender issues.
