“Peaceful” Islamists who desire a separate hunk o’ Thailand on the basis that they feel like it (oh and they manifestly believe they should dominate wherever they live, and more), blasted the crap out of a department store filled with peaceful Buddhist evil-doers who were wielding prayer beads and standing in line to buy books, yesterday. They did it with bombs, in a “peaceful” gesture of “peace”. A Canadian was among the splattered dead.
Of course Jack Layton and Rosie O’Donnell and Michael Moore and Bozo the Clown would explain that they had it coming. Peaceful Buddhists in Thailand are terrorists just like the Islamo-fascist terrorists and Canadian soldiers. And after all, maybe they were buying Ann Coulter’s latest best-seller in that store.
Canada’s leftist state-run CBC news media which often calls it the “so-called” war on terror in order to tendentiously plant the seeds of doubt into the minds of squishy Play-Doe-like liberal Canadians (and abide by its liberal masters) refuses to utter the words “Islamo-fascists” because it sounds like a big old meaniepants thing to say, was forced to report the story because everybody else did. But they didn’t mention the war on Islamo-fascist terror, notwithstanding the fact that the Muslims there have killed in excess of 1,700 innocent civilians in Thailand in just the past couple of years.
First the CTV report:
Canadian killed in Thai department store bombings
CTV.ca News Staff
Several bomb blasts tore through three department stores in Thailand Saturday, killing a Canadian and at least three other people.
[…] The explosions hit a major commercial area in Songkhla province, called the Hat Yai business district, following an earlier peace rally in an area of Muslim insurgency in the south.
Government officials blamed the violence on separatist insurgents in the Muslim-dominated south, who have launched several attacks since 2004 that have killed about 1,700 people—most of them civilians.
The state-run people’s web site of Canada, the Canadian Broadcasting “Corporation” reports from a similar Associated Press report at its CBC.ca:
Thai police blamed the attack on Muslim insurgents who have waged a long separatist campaign in this largely Buddhist country.
“We do believe that the insurgents are responsible for the bomb attack,” military spokesman Lt.-Gen. Palangoon Klaharn told the Associated Press. “Their intention is to spread fear in the region.”
Sonthi Boonyaratkalin, commander of the Thai army, had earlier placed soldiers on high alert after reports that Muslim separatists under the Gerakan Mujahidin Islam Pattani were planning attacks to mark the anniversary of the group’s founding.
The group has been blamed for a bloody separatist campaign that has left 1,700 dead since 2004.
They have hit banks, department stores, hotels, schools and government offices during their two-year campaign. Last year, they bombed the Hat Yai International Airport, killing two people.
