Liberals’ stacked courts in action: man ordered deported 12 yrs ago commits new crimes; free on bail

Hard to figure all this gun crime stuff, what with all the rigorous criminal justice handed out by liberals who were appointed by liberals in their effort to change Canada to better suit their liberal-left “progressive” world view, in which there are no criminals who should be punished (but rather “reintegrated into society” and “rehabilitated”), and no yummy multicultural immigrants who should ever be deported.

ABBOTSFORD – An Abbotsford man ordered deported more than 12 years ago, and now facing a raft of drug and weapons charges, was freed on bail yesterday.

Nok Souvannarath, 46, who was ordered deported in April 1995, was arrested on Friday when police raided his Fieldgate Street home.

Also arrested were family members Et, Scott and David Souvannarath. Et’s age was given as 44.

They were each released on $1,000 bail when they appeared in provincial court in Abbotsford yesterday on weapons-related charges. They were ordered to appear again on Aug. 30.

Nok is charged with possessing a prohibited or restricted weapon, careless use or storage of a firearm, breach of a bail condition and possessing a firearm contrary to a court order.

Police said they seized an automatic AR-15 gun equipped with a suppressor and large-capacity magazine, a 9-mm handgun and a 22-calibre Ruger rifle equipped with a scope. They also seized “a lot” of ammunition, six sets of body armour, more than $20,000 in cash and a quantity of cocaine.

Et, Nok, and Scott Souvannarath are to appear in court Sept. 21 on drug charges in connection with a raid on their home in November 2005.

The same day, police raided two homes in the 3600-block Mt. Lehman Road and seized thousands of dollars in cash, $90,000 in cocaine and ecstasy as well as cellphones, BlackBerrys and drug-related paraphernalia.
