Liberal corporate welfare buys more liberal votes and helps ensure dependency attitude

Is there anybody left in Canada who doesn’t work for the government, or one of the 8 billion branches of the mammoth government industrial complex, or for a company or entity that doesn’t depend to one degree or another on government handouts, subsidies, grants, loan guarantees or some other form of corporate welfare?

Of course we already know if you choose not to work, that’s no problem either, as they tacitly encourage people to not work by dangling yummy “insurance” payouts to the non-working, even to the point where in the last budget they’ve made it so that you can work a shorter amount of time to qualify for “benefits” (the fact that they’re called “benefits” is in itself revealing) to sit on the couch watching government-backed shows and movies and cartoons on state-run TV.

Liberals continue in their quest to make everybody and every company in Canada more and more dependent on more and more government handouts, in order to turn Canada into the utopian socialist nanny-state they seek.  Vote liberal.

OSHAWA, Ont. (CP) – The Ontario government has committed up to $235 million, and the federal government up to $200 million, towards a $2.5-billion General Motors project that will create 500 automotive jobs, Ottawa and Ontario announced Wednesday.

[…] “This investment is great news for our economy, our prosperity and for all Ontarians who will benefit from new jobs,” McGuinty said in a release.  [… ]

How ridiculous.
