I have been waiting since a long time!—Liberal Frenchman Dion

image And if Liberal Frenchman Stephane Dion did visit France for the Vimy Ridge anniversary, would he come there too?  I only ask because Dion also said, once:  “I have come in Alberta many times.”  Listen to the audio file at that link—that’s what he said when he visited Alberta (I make no representation of his sexual prowess).

But wait, Mr. Dion.  M’excuser.  If you have been waiting “since a long time” for your official invitation to visit the Vimy Ridge anniversary celebrations (in the country of your own citizenship), then surely your calendar is absolutely clear for that day.  Why then do you whine like an obstinate child about not getting invited by Uncle Stephen Harper while also claiming to have “commitments that couldn’t be changed and will be sending MPs in [your] place”, as reported at CTV.ca

”[H]e should have invited us since a long time,” the Liberal Frenchman said.  And why bring it up now?  Why not when you could have done something about it?  Is this how you’d handle terrorists too, if you were leader of our land, shudder the thought?

All of that notwithstanding, since a very long time, I have been demanding and waiting for the Liberals to get down on their knees and beg us all for forgiveness, but that hasn’t happened either.

I imagine in the case of Vimy Ridge, the Liberals should have booked a flight using Dion’s Air France airline miles.  It is his country of citizenship, after all, so it’s not like he has to jump through hoops to get there.  I imagine getting into Reagan Airport in DC would be harder, not that he has the slightest interest in going there either.

Another planned no-show at the Vimy Ridge, France anniversary:  Jacques Chirac, President of France… because that’s how the French thank the other nations who saved them.  That’s how much it really means to them.  In Canada’s case, we lost 3,600 men’s lives—just at Vimy Ridge alone—saving their French baguettes.  (Of course to complicate matters further, that wouldn’t have happened had Liberal Frenchman Dion been our PM, as he would have called them back to Canada at the first sign of trouble.  They’re “peacekeepers”, dontchaknow.)

So it’s all good, Dion’s phony caterwalling aside.
