It’s now 8:00 PM ET. CTV has had this story online since 5:01 PM ET. But I can’t find any coverage of it at CBC.ca. Nothing. So they seem utterly uninterested in it, and might think or hope you don’t want to know either, just like them. In any case, if all you watched was the CBC, you’d be massively uninformed, under-informed, lacking information, not properly informed. If you stuck with other media outlets, like citizen-owned media against which state-owned CBC competes, you would know.
By the way, it has utterly nothing to do with the fact that Michael Steele is black, but by golly that ever so inclusive and racially sensitive CBC sure was aware of Obama’s inherent blackness—even though Obama’s actually only half black, and was raised by white mother and grand parents…
The CBC should report this news about the Republican Party, just as, say, the citizen-owned CTV.ca web site is doing in their report from about 3 hours ago (“Michael Steele elected first black GOP party chairman” – Last updated Fri. Jan. 30 2009 5:01 PM ET).
