Harper in House: will work with Liberals but Liberals must abandon coalition with separatists

Harper in House: Prime Minister Harper says he and his party will work with Liberals, but Liberals must abandon their coalition with the separatists.  Wild applause from Conservative benches.  From Liberals:  Attempts to drown him out; then boos, and squirms in their seats.  Didn’t like that idea.

“If the leader of the Liberal Party wants to save the jobs of Canadians he can put on the table specific proposals that would save those jobs, he could reach across the isle and work with this government which will be pleased to work with him on saving this economy but he must walk away from this deal with Jacques Parizeau and the separatists which can do do nothing—nothing—but weaken this country which is Mr. Parizeau’s very objective.”

He later says the Liberals should sit down with them, in FRONT of the Canadian flag, Canadian-style (as opposed to having the Canadian flags way off to the sides and not behind them, as was the case during their anti-Canadian coalition manifesto-signing session yesterday with the socialists and the separatists), and get into discussions with them.  Wild applause from Conservative benches.  Liberals boo.  Didn’t like that idea.

“…he sat down with the leader of the separatist party on national television—those pictures are all there—they will show those flags put WAY off to the side where they’re out of the camera angle.  Mr. Speaker if the Liberal Party continues down this path, those images will never be forgotten by the Canadian people.  If they want to help with the Canadian economy, sit down in FRONT of the Canadian flag, and do it now.”

Apparently Liberals are against that.
