Drinking water problem known to Liberals for years, says commissioner

The Liberals knew.  And they did nothing until they were found out.  And even then, all they offer is a giant smoke-screen and PR-based announcements designed to do nothing but sucker Canadians into believing in them, and to give them yet one more chance.  And in actual fact it’s a farce.  It’s all designed —largely by liberal-friendly media and PR firms— to maintain political power over Canada.  Over you.

Its the same on the national defence file.  The same on the health care file. The same on the adscam sponsorship corruption file.  The same on our years of massive over taxation, waning productivity, and income decline.  And much more.

It’s the story of their lives.

Imagine what we don’t know about the Liberals and the liberal-left.  And is it any wonder they try to project their guilt upon the good Conservative Party as the party with the “hidden agenda”, instead of themselves?

What a travesty.  What a scam.

Sorry state of native drinking water known for years: federal watchdog

November 17 2005

OTTAWA (CP) – A federal commissioner says Ottawa has known about the sorry state of drinking water in aboriginal communities for years.

Johanne Gelinas, commissioner of the environment and sustainable development, told a Commons committee that Health Canada and Indian Affairs have been well aware of situations like that in Kashechewan, Ont. Gelinas told the aboriginal affairs committee that some native communities have been under boil-water advisories for years.

E. coli in Kashechewan’s drinking water touched off an emergency evacuation last month and billions of dollars in promised native relief money from Ottawa.

In her annual report in September, Gelinas says the government hasn’t done enough to ensure that drinking water is safe on reserves.

She says Indian Affairs found risks to drinking water quality on three-quarters of native reserves in 2001, but there are still no laws or regulations governing their water supply.

But you know the sad thing is, so many Canadians don’t care what the “federal watchdog” says.  They only care what Prime Minister Paul (“we lead the world”) says, and what Scott Brison says and what their ever-so-honest, fair and balanced media including the state-run media division of the Liberal Party says.

After all, it was the federal watchdog Sheila Fraser, Auditor-General of Canada, who said, way back in 2004,

“This is such a blatant misuse of public funds.
It is shocking…Words escape me.”

On the Liberal Party’s so-called “sponsorship” program.

…and apparently no voters in Canada’s liberal-left even care.  So even when the liberal-left voters know, they too do nothing.  It’s really a systemic thing.
