Democratic-led Congress drops to new low in public confidence; as does media

liberals Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid(Yes, once again—I can’t stress it enough, apparently…)

When the Democrats took power in January and President Bush threatened to veto their stupid pork-filled Iraq bill, the left-appeasing House Speaker Nancy Pelosi arrogantly proclaimed, “Calm down Mr. President. Stop with the threats, there’s a new congress in town!”  Well it’s Democratic-led and it is also dropping in popularity an awful lot like lead

President Bush is unpopular but compared to the liberal (and increasingly so) Democratic Party-led Congress, he’s holding his numbers pretty well.  In the latest Gallup poll, the U.S. military gets top marks for America’s confidence (perhaps BECAUSE of the liberal Democrats and their constant Iraq war white flag-waving and their demands for American surrender and their proclamations of defeat, and their clear desire to lose the Iraq war, and their incessant whining about cutting and running in the middle of it even in the face of progress?).

An analysis of the numbers by Mark Tapscott also shines a light on the slipping trustworthiness of the liberal media:

The “fourth branch” of government, the mainstream media, also has declining public confidence ratings. Television news dropped from 31 percent to 23 percent, while newspapers were down to 22 percent, compared to 30 percent a year ago.

Perhaps this is, in turn, because of their horribly biased reporting on the war.  It’s no small wonder Fox News Channel, which is on America’s side, is winning the ratings war over CNN and the other cable news networks by a country mile.
