Liberal Party Sponsorship Scandal: How many hundreds of millions?

… or should that read “hundreds of dollars” rather than “hundreds of millions”?  I imagine in liberal media-land, it will soon read “dozens of dollars”.

Liberals’ ability—and gumption—to re-write history to suit them is astounding.

Take, for example, this article appearing in the Vancouver Sun (a Canwest Global paper) this past Saturday, written by accurate reporter Tim Naumetz, about the Liberal Party and their strategies for (my words) clinging to power at any cost at all whatsoever—come this fall.  I highlighted the little liberal history re-write for you in case you didn’t notice how they slipped it in ever so subtly:

Liberal insiders are debating whether the government should prorogue Parliament during the summer recess and launch a new session late this fall, with a throne speech outlining the main elements of the next Liberal election campaign platform.

[…] Some Liberals believe the Conservatives, who have slumped in the polls since the government survived the confidence crisis of May, do not have an appetite for a fall election. They do not believe the Conservatives would force an election until Gomery reports on testimony that hundreds of thousands of dollars of government money were secretly funnelled to the Quebec wing of the Liberal party for campaign financing as late as 1997.
