Columnists today: advice, analysis, brilliance, genius, conservatives—you know.

In our Columnist section today, Rebecca Hagelin has some excellent advice (and a few great web sites and tools) to help win the war for your kids in your own dang home.

It isn’t hard to convince most parents to enlist in the daily battle for the hearts and minds of their children—the evidence of cultural rot is all around. But many lack the practical tools they need to assure victory.

For those who doubt that we are, indeed, at war over our children, consider: They are the most marketed-to generation of kids in world history. They spend an estimated $150 billion to $200 billion a year on everything from music to clothes to high-tech gadgets. They enjoy more affluence and more toys than any generation before them. imagePaul Jackson stands up for the little country that could, Taiwan, as China tries through the U.N. to muzzle it—oh and to scare it out of existence with 700 nuclear missiles pointed directly at the tiny country.  “Banishing Taiwan from membership is cowardly act, he says, and “decent men and women around the world should care.”  Of course he’s right.

It’s so good I couldn’t find just the right quote.
