Here’s a bag check—OK a reality check—courtesy of the Conservatives’ Tim Powers, a punching bag for the liberal media, who’s always quick with a solid right jab to the liberal-left kisser after politely taking all those leftist hooks below the belt. From CTV Newsnet’s Mike Duffy Live today.
The conversation was concerning the opposition party’s hideous renunciation of better accountability in government when they rejected a superb man, Gwyn Morgan, and probably any others that may replace him, as a willing participant ready to serve our democracy (for free) as leader of Harper’s new accountability commission, today (see blog entry here).
Here’s my transcript from my recording:
CTV’s Mike Duffy: Mr. Morgan says ‘I don’t take it personally—it’s all about partisan politics’.
Liberal strategist Steve McKinnon: Well he should actually take it personally because he said some very upsetting things about multicultural communities…
Conservative strategist Tim Powers: …Which he apologized for…
Liberal strategist Steve McKinnon: …He’s a Conservative BAG MAN… and uh and uh….
Conservative strategist Tim Powers: Well Steve I guess it’s not a good thing to check you bags when you’re the Liberal Party these days but that same Gwyn Morgan who you’re accusing of being a “Conservative bag man” gave $25,000 to Paul Martin’s leadership campaign and last year lo and behold, $5100 to the Liberal Party, $5100 to the Conservatives…
Why did the Liberals’ Steve McKinnon try to mislead Canadians like that? That doesn’t seem right.
Especially when the Liberals have been accused, according to testimony, of passing plain brown bags of taxpayer cash around, across restaurant tables not unlike Mafia transactions, in their adscam sponsorship corruption days which ended when Canadians sent them packing their bags and kicked them out of office.
