Currently watching the CTV Newsworld’s live coverage of the Conservative government’s announcement regarding the aerospace government “aid” to “private” (snicker) “enterprise” (hee hee) that the Conservatives used to be dead set against when it was the Liberal government’s Fabian socialist state-reliance-building program, but are now in favor of it.
The Conservatives’ Industry Minister (or what I’d like to go ahead and call Liberal Party Too’s “State-Reliance-Building Industry” Minister) Maxime Bernier is the one who’s talking now—in French because they’re in Montreal sucking up to Quebec again—and of course liberalvision CTV has a French-to-English translator so we English speaking Canadians can understand. (I also speak capitalist fluently and can comprehend socialist blather).
The translator speaks English with such a heavy French accent I honestly can’t really comprehend a word he’s saying. He sounds like Liberal Frenchman Stephane Dion.
Then Bernier graces us with a few words (I mean like ten) in English, and he speaks worse English than Chretien or Dion.
So basically I don’t have the foggiest clue what anybody is saying.
I’m turning my TV to Fox News Channel now.
As I switch channels, CTV reporter and anchor muse together about how the Conservatives are more and more identical to the Liberals in every which way, every day…
