All liberals in Canada: “That damn National Post is biased in favor of some semblance of balance”.

Sometimes denial is a good thing.  Like denying Michael Moore a seat in your canoe.  Or a seat at your dinner table when you’re having meat loaf and gravy.  Or denying him a big wide lectern in your kids’ classroom;  or more likely, denying your far-leftist agenda-driven kid’s teachers a taxpayer-owned DVD player loaded with Moore’s agitprop flicks in your kid’s classroom (and actually, that ship has already sailed while you were sound asleep “standing up for Canada”—sorry conservatives).

Some are calling for a view from another side.  I know, I know, it goes against the grain.  Balance sucks.  Kinda “Fox News-like” letting the other side have a say too, and we know how much liberal-leftists despise that channel and that credo.  But tough.  That’s how you avoid dumbing down the nation.  Or was that your point?

Here’s something about the hideous effort to put Al Gore’s enviro religion’s (notice everyone’s using that “enviro-religion” terminology now too?) in our classrooms, which I first helped bring up a month ago.  The National Post continues its pretty good efforts at letting the other side have a say too.  It may be too late for this particular story (the story’s a month old and time is of the essence in the news game, so the cynic in me sometimes wonders if that isn’t also part of a plan of some kind), but I still view this as a positive, since we can learn from our mistakes:

Here’s an excerpt:

First it was his world history class. Then he saw it in his economics class. And his world issues class. And his environment class. In total, 18-year-old McKenzie, a Northern Ontario high schooler, says he has had the film An Inconvenient Truth shown to him by four different teachers this year.

“I really don’t understand why they keep showing it,” says McKenzie …

Maybe the Nat Post should be “reined in”.

And here are just SOME of my previous blog entries (and some of our PTBC columnists’ mention) of this exact topic—Gore’s flick in the Canadian classroom—the first one being from a month ago, for you and the rest of you right-thinking people who may be suddenly interested now that the ship is pulling away from port:

Now:  Is the National Post aware that in B.C. schools, the BC Liberal government has directed its state-owned taxpayer-funded public schools to teach about those good homosexual values to the young ‘uns (Gov’t Agrees to Mandatory Homosexual Curriculum with No Opt-Out for Students or Parents), in addition to all schools teaching them about how to put a condom on a cucumber and about getting that abortion and how capitalism and George Bush and conservatism are evil and terrorists are misunderstood, and so on?  Oh that ship sailed too.  Well damn.  Guess we’ll be reading about it soon in the media!

EXTRA EXTRA:

In fairness, as I said, the National Post has been on top of the sensible set’s side for the most part.  Here’s some related articles at the NP today:
