Reference article: Canada now requires visas from Czechs and Mexicans
Not everybody speaks “bunkum” from the land called “Bunkum” (see flag at left) —either the foreign or domestic dialect. So I’m here to help. As readers know, I can translate as I’m fluent in “socialist”, some dialects of “liberal” (including the “progressive bunkum” dialect), and of course “bunkum”.
Here’s another way of saying “total bull” (the reporter is speaking of Canada’s spot-on decision today to require visas from Czech Republic and Mexican “visitors”):
Toronto immigration lawyer Max Berger said the move does not reflect well on Canada.
Well of course that was one way of saying “total bull”. It actually reflects very well on Canada. The man may be a liberal, possibly from one of the tonier Toronto neighborhoods that vote for socialists like the you’ve got to be kidding party’s Jack Layton or Layton’s “life partner” Olivia Chow (sometimes “life partner” is referred by the Bunkumese as “personal snuggly units”). The self-serving immigration lawyer is flapping his gums in that foreign language in order to help pay for his new BMW (bought on credit) and pay for his third vacation house, methinks. One wonders how or why the news media would even remotely find his opinion on the matter suitable for publication. (Sorry —I’m not the least bit surprised. These are the same people who incessantly ask Jack Layton for comments on things).
The next sentence in the article quotes the self-interested lawyer and provides another way saying the same thing: “total bull”, demonstrating how flexible the “bunkum” language is:
“To re-introduce this visa requirement, it really tarnishes our reputation in the international community with respect to refugee protection because we are slamming the door on genuine refugees,” he said.
And the Canadian news media can’t break from their tradition of speaking — and thinking in — “bunkum”, and forgot to ask what (in the case of the Czechs) the European Union is for, and why they can’t accept their own “refugees” in their own member countries. And why Mexicans have to hop right over the nearest country, the USA, or avoid countries to the south, in order to gain relief in Canada from the “oppression” they are suffering from in Mexico —a country Canadians flock to for vacations.
Tourism operators later held a press conference in downtown Bunkum and offered the same speeches in “bunkum”, essentially adding that hotel operators and tour operators might “suffer” if we don’t allow people to come into our country willy nilly in order to suck the teat of Canadians and their idiotic “refugee” and welfare and other liberal government-created rules of Bunkum-appeasing idiocy. They are additionally pretending that because Czechs and Mexicans will now be required to get a visa before coming into Canada, tourism will henceforth cease from those countries.
They should all go back to Bunkum and stay there until they get a visa to visit Canada. I’d love to be in charge of the visa office in Bunkum.
