Matthews: Huckabee & Thompson ‘Fanatics,’ Obama ‘Really Cool’
Appearing Wednesday night on NBC’s Tonight Show, MSNBC’s Chris Matthews suggested Republicans are like Iraqi factions, with a “fanatics” wing, and oozed over Barack and Michelle Obama, hailing them as “really cool. They are Jack and Jackie Kennedy,” insisting it’s a “spiritual experience” to attend an Obama rally. When asked by Jay Leno about the uncertain Republican primary forecast, Matthews argued: “They got their Shia wing, the fanatics. They’ve got Huckabee. This where I get into trouble. This is just where I get into trouble. Huckabee and Thompson are the Shiites.” Matthews also went into a typical swoon for his favorite presidential candidate, Barack Obama: “If you’re actually in the room when he gives one of his speeches, and you don’t cry, you’re not an American.” Matthews could not help slipping into a sales job for Barack and his wife Michelle: “They’re cool people. They are really cool. They are Jack and Jackie Kennedy when you see them together. They are cool. And they’re great-looking, and they’re cool and they’re young, and they’re—everything seems to be great. I know I’m selling them now….But the fact is, I wouldn’t be an honest reporter if I didn’t tell you what the spiritual experience is like of being in a Barack Obama rally.”
… At the very same time, I overheard CTV Newsnet report some, well, they were liberal ads I think. You’ve heard of infomercials, right? These are what I’d call liberal-left media “newsads”.
Inexplicably, CTV Newsnet ran a “news” story about a Canadian guy who made a YouTube video supporting their ♥Hillary♥. The big CTV banner read “CANADIAN FOR HILLARY” (and by “CANADIAN” they didn’t mean themselves at CTV Newsnet in this particular case but I understand your confusion. They meant that crack Canadian fella who made that YouTube video flick supporting Hillary). Apparently this is news, and must be broadcast on national television.
The “news” anchor, Scott Laurie, was sure to inform us at the end of his “news” piece that (and I quote directly) “the three-minute video promotes Clinton’s policy on BOOSTING [his emphasis] the middle class”. Oh thank goodness. I was HOPING the video would include that!
No, I’m not kidding.
Apparently, no Canadian has ever made a video supporting any Republican, ever. Or, say, built a massive web site from scratch supporting Americans generally and their conservative politicians and which shows support for conservatives as a general matter, and hired or otherwise secured columnists from the U.S. and Canada to further that aim. (How come they never show my YouTube video mocking that ass Justin Trudeau and how the media swoon over him? Huh.)
CTV Newsnet now seems to be unashamedly shilling for Hillary
Then, almost as if to prove that they’re nothing but shills for liberals, that same CTV Newsnet—immediately after the first report—presented a report on…. Hillary’s daughter! Apparently, she’s campaigning for Hillary! Campaigning I tell you! What are the chances?! The big CTV banner read: “CAMPAIGNING FOR MOM” in case there was any confusion in your mind. It was a vomitously fawning “news” report. Vomitously.
Republican Mitt Romney’s sons are all campaigning for him too, but (…pausing for laughter…) they’re damn conservatives! So (…oh the laughter…) it’s not the same. On my goodness… good times.
The story on the Canadian who supports Hillary lasted 50 seconds.
The story on the daughter who is supporting her mommy Hillary lasted 2 minutes and 10 seconds.
Total time that the national television “news” media spent on coverage of things that are of utterly zero “news” value and are nothing but ads for ♥liberals♥: 3 minutes.
Meanwhile, Canadians still don’t know much if anything about any Republican candidates—and what they do know is negative. This is a pure coincidence.
