Big news day!
• A Canadian dude made a YouTube video supporting Hillary.
• Clinton’s daughter is apparently… (hold onto something!)…. campaigning for mom!
(I somehow managed to blog about the above two breaking CTV stories in one blog entry, unlike CTV Newsnet which presented two separate stories lasting three minutes.)
• And now a document apparently written by some Canadian pantywaists informs Amnesty International that The United States is, like Syria and, um, Mexico, a nation that routinely “tortures” people just willy-nilly.
Predictably, Amnesty International and all liberal-leftists and anti-Americans and their media minions are going ape-poop over it, and it is sure to make for a fabulous weekend for Layton and his life partner.
The news report about this unfolding drama for the liberals, who will do or say or pretend anything in order to make America and especially the Bush administration appear bad to dumb clucks (their readers), explains it all very succinctly (though I can understand if you don’t think this is the actual, real, full explanation):
One slide in the presentation lists “U.S. interrogation techniques” under the “Definition of Torture.” These include blindfolding or hooding, forced nudity, isolation and sleep deprivation.
The made no mention of Canada’s gratuitous use of the CBC against Canadian citizens, nor how Canada’s government competes against its own citizens who are in business trying to provide food and shelter for their families. Guess that doesn’t count.
I’d rather be forced to stand nude in total isolation than to watch the CBC. And that’s even if I was innocent rather that caught trying to blow scores of innocent Israeli children and grandmothers into 8,000 pieces and wipe the whole nation off the face of the Earth; or trying to kill scores of innocent Americans and other westerners in terrorist attacks.
But then I’m on Canada’s side, so…
The reality of the matter among those of us who aren’t nutbars is that savage Islamofascist terrorists and the like should be “tortured” to get information out of them in order to save thousands or millions of innocent lives. I’m all for it.
