I’ve gotten several emails over a remark made in the House yesterday by the angry pseudo intellectual Liberal Leader Bill Graham. He’d quoted Karl Marx in the house, as only a Liberal would do to bolster a point, but even at that it was totally misplaced. That’s the “pseudo” in “intellectual”. (That’s liberal!)
PTBC reader and proud conservative and a great Canadian friend Marc explained it very well in a comment just now in this thread.
Bill Graham is a moonbat. His point in quoting Marx was to rebut a previous statement but he completely missed the point and obfuscated what Brian Fitzpatrick said…
Hon. Bill Graham (Leader of the Opposition, Lib.): Mr. Speaker, Canadians will keep asking questions about the softwood lumber deal.
However, it has been brought to my attention today that at the public accounts committee the member for Prince Albert actually stated that aboriginal Canadians live in a Marxist paradise. Members of the House will no doubt recall that Karl Marx famously said, “From each according to his abilities, to each according to his needs”.
I believe Fitzpatrick said “Marxist paradise” to indicate the aboriginals are dependents of the state. Of course, Graham couldn’t intelligently rebut this comment so he employed semantics to make himself look, well, stupid.
Good catch Marc!
