82% back Harper’s support for Israel’s right to self-defence
An overwhelming majority of Canadians support Prime Minister Stephen Harper’s assertion that Israel’s attacks on Lebanon are justified because Israel has a right to self-defence and that Iran and Syria are wrong to have armed Hezbollah, according to a new poll to be released today. The poll, which was conducted by public opinion researcher COMPAS Inc., will appear in the Alberta-based newsmagazine Western Standard this week. The poll states that 82% of Canadians who were asked believe that Israel has a right to self-defence. The results come on the heels of protests by Lebanese- Canadians who have criticized Mr. Harper’s comments in support of Israel.
Fuller answer regarding the 18%: Far-left-liberals (they can be found conveniently packaged within the Liberal Party and in Layton’s you’ve got to be kidding party). Members of most of Canada’s largely Marxist labor unions like our country’s biggest public sector labor union, CUPE. Anti Semites. Islamofascist terrorist appeasers and defenders. Many in the news media and many teaching our children in our schools. Communists. And of course the many anti-Israel Islamists living in Canada at our invitation, clearly, who think Israel and Jews need to be erased off the face of the Earth no matter what.
The liberal media (et al) is loath to explain the difference between conservatives and liberals when it casts conservatives in a good light.
