I’m not sure who the suckers are. Not me—that’s all I know. And as a visitor to this site, probably not you either. But there are a suckers being suckered.
You may have bought the liberal Hollywood message over and over without knowing it. Millions of people in the western world have. They still do.
Did you also buy the Pallywood message? It’s not usually delivered through big screens at the multiplex, but more often through “60 Minutes” and “CNN” on your TV—and daily on the state-run, taxpayer-funded CBC in Canada.
In Hollywood it’s hard to come up with just the right actors, set, location, stunts, and storyline to make the movie convincing. Then there’s the title and tag lines—all staged so that the movie sells and the writers, directors, producers and actors get their message—or what they might call their “story”—out to the awed, adoring fans, and get rich in the process so they can do it all over again and again. It’s about getting the message out and getting rich.
And as so many Hollywood efforts are, it’s hard to make anti-conservative anti-American or anti-Israeli sub-plots and supposedly “hidden” messages subtle enough that it’s not mocked as a biased political propaganda piece, anti-conservative, anti-America, anti-Christian, anti-corporate, anti-traditional-family, anti-Israeli, and so on. They have to strike just the right balance. The trick is that dummies need to get properly brainwashed, yet smarties can’t be allowed to see through the effort or if they do, they have to at least be given reasonable excuses or talking points to take home with them.
It has worked marvelously well. Just look at how many people went to see Michael Moore’s completely deceitful anti-Bush and anti-American tales, and came home thinking it was all true—and think about how it colored their view of America, and indeed their whole world view.
But in Israel, where the leftist international and North American news media focus not on simple stories but rather on trying to make you believe Israel and America are evil, and that one or both should literally cease to exist, it’s the same thing only with much, much higher stakes. Lives, for example; world peace, whole nations, families, the entire global community, humans, civilization itself.
It’s called Pallywood: It’s called “How to play the media like a fiddle”. No sorry. I mean “How the perfidy of the anti-American, anti-Israeli liberal ‘news’ media helps Palestinians, and helps drum up anti-Americanism and anti-Israelism for the cause. Their cause. The anti-American, anti-Israeli cause.” So in effect, who’s playing whom, here? See my problem in figuring out who the suckers are, now?
Or they could call it this: “Just how stupid they (the media, or the Palestinians) think that you are.” With a subhead or tag line: “…and maybe, in some cases, they’re absolutely accurate in their assessment, as judged by past success”.

Watch how well the Palestinians have learned how to play the western media game, as invented by the likes of John Kerry in his Vietnam days—playing with/manipulating your mind and the minds of the masses through the willing perfidy of like-minded anti-American, anti-Israeli media from Canada, the United States, France, and around the world. And then in turn how the media have learned to play along—helping in many cases—to actually join in their fight. Against America. Against Israel.
And reflect on how well it has worked. And how much more of it you’re willing to take.
