The entire front page of the Vancouver Sun is, once again, all opinion, rather than news reports. They do this increasingly now. Sometimes it’s like this day after after day. As I’ve mentioned before.
It seems their news reports are considered less important than their opinions about the news. How you the reader take the news—and that you take it the way they want you to—is more important than the news itself. The news must be filtered through their prism before you are able to make up your own minds about it. They are worried that the people in Vancouver might go ahead and form their own opinions on their own—just willy nilly.
Open the front page and what do you see? Page A-2: nine microscopic world news briefs. Page A-3: the only article is a columnist’s column, under the page heading “NEWS”.
