The business part of our trip to Victoria is nearly over now, and we had time to go over to my Alma Mater, U.Vic. I bought a new U.Vic sweatshirt so I can make believe I just recently attended that great institution, even though it was actually a scary number of years ago.
Here’s a thrilling picture of me at the U.Vic main entrance, wearing my new U.Vic sweatshirt…
And of course, obviously, duh, it goes without saying, here’s a picture of a bunny who saw me at U.Vic, then hopped over to me, and posed for this picture, then left.
No you’re not out of some Joel-ish “loop”—my wife and I are still going “huh?”, wondering why this cute li’l fluffy bunny came up to me like that, posed, then left. My wife is ticked, thinking it has something to do with a “legacy” I left at U.Vic. I told her the bunny’s alive, and that should count for something. My version was that my college philandering days are so legendary that bunnies now worship me, or some such thing.
Either way, I’m a sucker for a cute bunny! And needless to say, I will take Jo-Anne to an extra nice restaurant tonight, and go for that real good bottle of wine.
(Memo to PETA: bunny lived).
Tonight it’s dinner and cocktails, then tomorrow we head home and resume the vacation in other exciting ways.
