Early word has it that the The Republican administration in the U.S. will increase its direct financial aid to the tsunami victims to $350 million. That is in addition to the costly military aid, food and other aid which began nearly immediately after news of the natural disaster broke. Already many huge military planeloads of U.S. food, water, and medical supplies have been sent.
The U.S. has also already organized an international coalition of nations—India, Japan, Australia and the U.S., which is working in concert to help save lives.
