Just heard on the liberals’ CTV Newsnet division: selectively informative CTV Newsnet’s anchor Kate Wheeler informs us that the criminal case against Jean Lafleur is now continuing, and, ya see, it all has something to do with the “federal” sponsorship scandal. Not the Liberal Party adscam sponsorship corruption scandal—it’s a “federal” scandal. Got it? There you go. Now you’re thinking like a Liberal Party strategist’s dream-come-true.
Similarly, Democratic President Bill Clinton wasn’t impeached by the U.S. House of Representatives, a “federal” President was.
Let’s review their verbiage on the matter from liberalvision’s online story today:
…Lafleur handed himself over to authorities last week after being charged with 35 counts of fraud related to the federal sponsorship scandal.
See, I told you. Please pay attention. It’s a federal scandal. Not a Liberal Party scandal. That’s how you are to think of it. Makes Liberal re-election easier when you re-write history like that.
They continue to inform you of the correct way to remember this:
He is suspected of defrauding Ottawa out of nearly $1.6 million.
You see he didn’t defraud you (you dumb canook taxpayer) out of your cash, but rather it was simply “Ottawa’s” cash. So nothing to see here, folks… move on, get lost. Vote Liberal.
By that same logic, Canada’s North Korean-style healthcare system is free, for you—the cost is picked up by “Ottawa”, you see?
They later refer to it as “the sponsorship affair”. Nary a “Liberal” to be found in the story.
They report, you decide.
