The state-run CBC anchor baited me just before a commercial with a teaser about the most popular gay person’s destinations for our gay travel needs. Obviously useful information. It’s the state-run media after all. I’m paying for this.
“It’s big business these days!” the “news” anchor, Sarika Sehgal, reports after the break, on the unquestionably socialist television network’s Newsworld channel, betraying no sense of irony whatsoever.
The banner across the bottom of the screen says “HAVE A GAY OLD TIME”. I know you want me to, but I’m afraid that’s impossible.
The segment guest, Elvira Kurt, apparently a gay comedian, informs us after taking the gay Rosie O’Donnell’s gay family cruise, that “it’s America—you know, they aren’t even as tolerant as we are here ,” which I take to mean we aren’t tolerant here, and down there it’s downright ghastly for the gays. It does nothing for her argument that she just came back from an American gay cruise. Again with the missed irony. (Liberals never get the joke!)
Seghal ends the segment by telling her “That is so cool!”
Oops, that’s not the end of the segment. Another guest on now. A man from Tourism Toronto named Joel Peters. The banner has changed to “GAY TORONTO”. The guest speaks on and on about the fabulous value of gays to Toronto.
Then, mercifully, the segment ended, but inexplicably with the full screen as seen at right.
Hopefully sometime this news hour they’ll touch on the news from Israel, and “George Bush’s so-called global war on terror”. I want to be filled-in before tuning into “The Passionate Eye” in which they promise in their endless online advertising teasers to uncover the truth about George Bush and his evil empire in their “documentary” series called “The Power of Nightmares: The Rise of the Politics Of Fear”, which includes nothing about the man-made global warming state of fear that the liberal-left has cooked-up over their gas stoves.
For example, the web page at the multi-gazzillion-dollar state-run CBC.ca people’s web site describing the first in the three-part series explains it this way:
The Power of Nightmares explores how the idea that we are threatened by a hidden and organized terrorist network is an illusion. Director Adam Curtis theorizes that it’s a myth that has spread unquestioned through politics, the security services and the international media.
At the heart of his story are two groups: the American neo-conservatives and the radical Islamists.
The page describing the second in the three-part series has these useful info-boxes with links to: “More about Neo-conservatism” and “More about Islamism”.
The description for the third in the series opens with:
In the wake of the shock and panic created by the devastating attack on the World Trade Center, the neo-conservatives reconstructed the radical Islamists in the image of their last evil enemy, the Soviet Union.
No wonder the state-run CBC anchors still call this the ” ‘so-called’ war on terror”. They’ve been to the CBC training camp.
After their blatant Bush-hating, anti-conservative, anti-America three-part series airing July 16 – 18, 2006 at 10pm ET/PT on CBC Newsworld, which already ran in April but they need to run it again to get more Canadians to understand the state-run CBC’s world view at my cost and yours, I noticed they’re also running the Trudeau series again. Yummy yummy liberals.
Vote liberal.
Oh yeah and…. death to America.
