Premier Danny Williams has revamped his verbiage in his war-ette of words with the Prime Minister, which is taking on a dimension not unlike the fight between Rosie and The Donald, only with a uniquely Canadian twist —i.e., it’s totally boring and getting more so, beyond even my words.
CTV Newsnet did a great job catching the Newfoundland and Labrador Premier in one of his new mini outrages in which he has decided that in his latest tactic, he will purposely refer to the Prime Minister of Canada as “Steve”—over and over—as his way to ratchet up the war-ette, Canadian style. To show his “disdain” for the Prime Minister.
Oh my. “Steve”, huh? Sheesh. Are you sure you’re not crossing a line here Danny? Wow. I’m so excited/offended/outraged/aghast. Please stop with the outrageous rhetoric lest I burst a moral or political correctness blood vessel. Oh dear God. Eh.
Even Danny might have missed the fact that he began his latest salvo via CTV with these unfortunate words:
“For him [“Steve”] to make a statement like that… is… unbecoming a prime minister”.
Unbecoming you say. Holy crap. Contact the authorities.
He then proceeds to explain his position and calls the Prime Minister “Steve” about 18 times. At one point he added “and company”, as in, “Steve …and company”. I guess that would be “Steve’s” cabinet and caucus.
Oh the humanity.
But as long as he’s not being “unbecoming” toward Canada’s Prime Minister.
