Remember when Dem Congressman called for the shooting of a Republican/tea party (now) Governor?

You don’t remember?  No I didn’t think so.  Nobody from the left-wing media mentions it, or any of the myriad other examples of the left-wing rhetoric which was and is twice as bad as any conservative rhetoric.

My emphasis, below (as if it really needed it):

“That Scott [Rick Scott, the now new Republican tea party-backed Governor] down there that’s running for governor of Florida,” Mr. Kanjorski said. “Instead of running for governor of Florida, they ought to have him and shoot him. Put him against the wall and shoot him. He stole billions of dollars from the United States government and he’s running for governor of Florida. He’s a millionaire and a billionaire. He’s no hero. He’s a damn crook. It’s just we don’t prosecute big crooks.”

—Ex-Representative Paul Kanjorski, Democrat, Pennsylvania

My.  How scientific.  And loving.  And fair.  And non-extremist, non-hate-speech.

Read more at the Washington Examiner.

Today in the liberals’ New York Times bogus attack squad division, where their star editorialist, the professor Paul Krugman writes (the same Krugman who lobs hateful rhetoric and lies toward non-progressives and especially conservatives all day long), Kanjorski writes an op/ed instructing Americans to be more civil in its political discourse, in light of the Arizona shooting.

We all lose an element of freedom when security considerations distance public officials from the people. Therefore, it is incumbent on all Americans to create an atmosphere of civility and respect in which political discourse can flow freely, without fear of violent confrontation.

Kanjorski served in the House of Representatives from 1985 to 2011.

And here’s a target board created by the Democratic Party for the 2004 elections, in which they speak of “targets”, Republicans being “behind enemy lines”, and in tone and substance generally, use far more “harsh rhetoric” than citizen Sarah Palin has ever used.  And they’re a political party.

But don’t worry, I’m sure the liberal-left media will begin to target their own perfidy quite soon.
