Quote of the Week Award Winner is not a liberal

The ProudToBeCanadian.ca Quote Of The Week Award is a pretty clear winner, and a hat tip to Marc and a couple others who emailed it to me at almost exactly the same time that I saw it.

Conservative Party leader Stephen Harper wins this week for his comments made to liberal media blowhards.

Hurricanes and people dying are apparently boring the media now and besides, they seem to have run out of anti-conservative steam; and Liberal Party corruption scandals and fraud trials are stealing the interest of too many Canadians.  So the media are stuck on “stupid” and are still trying to perpetuate the media-enhanced story about a liberal who pretends she’s a “conservative” based on the fact that she’s a paid-up member of the Conservative Party, Carol Jameison, who wants (and always has wanted) anybody but Stephen Harper to be her leader.  She’s also a metro Toronto “Conservative”, which speaks volumes.

I suspect she’s afraid he could win the next election. Most liberals are afraid of that.  Otherwise liberals wouldn’t be clamouring about Stephen harper’s leadership.

But the truth makes for a boring—or overly revealing—media story, sometimes.

So here’s Stephen Harper’s winning quote:

Any Conservative, anywhere, any time, can, by criticizing other Conservatives, become an instant and enormous media star. That’s just the way it is. We’ll have to get used to it.

I respectfully semi-disagree, however, to this extent: No, we most assuredly do not have to get used it.  We have to expose the liberal media for the biased, opinionated, tendentious, unprofessional, anti-conservative leftists that they are, until they start to fall apart as they have started to do in the U.S.

Never, ever, “get used to it”.  That’s exactly what they want us to do.  That’s half the liberal-left battle plan. They try to get us “used to things”

every

day

And never get used to the liberals in the Conservative Party either.  Those liberals have their leftists parties to choose from and really should MoveOn.  No use dragging the Conservative Party to the far left, thanks.  Conservatives need their party.

But Mr. Harper had a good day—he also wins the runner-up prize this week for this quote, concerning the extreme left NDP and their love of their “special friend”, the Liberal Party which they’re keeping in power and playing like a marionette:

We’ll have an election the day the NDP decides it doesn’t want to support Liberal corruption in the House of Commons any longer.
