A liberal-minded politically-correct multicult-luvin’ Quebec election official continued the liberals’ “progressive” action today (the “progressives” don’t really have an “exit strategy”, per se), making a decision to allow Islamic women (or, one supposes, any Tom, Dick, or Harry, or Mohammad) to vote completely hiding their entire heads from view—heads and faces being something some people in Canada used to agree was part of one’s “identity”—again that’s “identity”. They are now allowed to vote completely hiding their faces behind a medieval Islamic hijab or niqab. In Canada. In our elections. For “our” governments. In Canada. We are not making this up. Yadda.
They don’t care that the law says that photo-ID is required to vote in our country, because the term “our country” —like many other terms in “our country”—is relative. For example, “marriage” used to be something that meant a man and a woman hitching up to create “family”, which used to mean something which might have included engaging one penis and one vagina in a miraculous God-given ability to create human life—and make real live Canadian babies.
But now it just means bupkis. Because that’s how liberals think.
Elections Quebec gets threats over allowing Muslim women to vote with niqab
MONTREAL (CP) – Quebec’s chief returning officer now has two bodyguards as a result of a decision to allow Muslim women to vote in Monday’s election without showing their faces.
A spokeswoman for returning officer Marcel Blanchet also says Elections Quebec has received threatening phone calls. The spokeswoman says Elections Quebec will have more to say on the issue later Friday.
Quebec’s three main political leaders want Blanchet to reverse the decision that allows Muslim women wearing a niqab to vote without showing their faces.
