Fittingly, as President Bush is about to get on television and talk about the financial crisis, in Game #1 of our new series “Can you just imagine if a conservative said it?!”, we present a piece of a fluffball interview from yesterday between CBS News’ Katie Couric and Obama’s attack dog Biden.
Biden to Couric, who just sat there and bought it: “When the stock market crashed, Franklin Roosevelt got on television…”

I’m curious: Why did FDR “get on television” when he wasn’t even the president at that time? Maybe he got on top of a television to jump off it.
No, that couldn’t be it: nobody had any such thing as a television in 1929. Maybe Biden meant radio. When FDR was president, he had fireside radio chats. But he wasn’t president.
All together now! Can you just imagine if a conservative said it?!
For extra fun: Imagine if Sarah Palin said it! Would Peter Mansbridge’s noggin sprout hairs? Would it just explode right there on the studio set? Just imagine….
