“The President of the United States hopes I fail.”
— Rush Limbaugh today, following the ever so tolerant President Barack Obama’s snippy remark to reporters on Friday, in which The Unifier said that Republicans better stop listening to Rush (American citizen, but conservative) Limbaugh, and particularly his radio show—if they hope to get along with him and his administration. You see, Limbaugh had said that he hopes if Obama tries to impose socialism on America, he fails in so doing. (Here’s a link. Also see this.)
Meanwhile, citing his Muslim background and relatives, Obama told the Al-Arabiya Arab media channel today (he chose Arab media for his very first media interview since being elected) that he hopes to become friends with them and that on his envoy’s upcoming Arab trip, the mantra will be to spend time simply “listening to them”, since America has all too often “dictated” to them and the world. Obama said one of his main tasks was to communicate to Muslims “that the Americans are not your enemy.”
But Americans shouldn’t listen to Rush Limbaugh. He’s the enemy. Huh. That’s an odd way to think. For an American. And a Christian.
Runner up for PTBC Quote of the Week Award: A comment by PTBC reader Ward, who wrote from his freezing cold home today:
“…Funny thing that. Here in BC the colder it gets the more money I have to pay via the [BC Liberal government’s] Carbon Tax to stop “global warming”.”
Perhaps we shouldn’t listen to Ward, however. He’s not on board the good ship socialism.
Toot toot.
