Peace out, Moonbeam

Peace MoonbeamWhen one of our BlogAds advertisers (you can see them along the right margin here) submitted her new ad a couple of weeks ago, I naturally went to have a look to ensure the thing she was advertising—a blog in this case—was up to scratch.  I don’t want to pollute your world with more liberal-left blather or a porno-fest, as you know.

So I surfed on over there but of course time was tight just before the Canadian elections and I didn’t have all the time I needed.

But I mean the thing was called Peace Moonbeam Chronicles.  Come on.  A joke, right?  A lefty hippie playing a trick on me!

But I was curious I admit.  I thought maybe I could make a joke of it.  So I read a blog entry.  I immediately knew I was dealing with someone with the gift of creative writing far beyond anything I can claim, and beyond nearly anything I read today.  And yet I was puzzled at first.  I wasn’t sure it was the “right” message and if I would allow her to advertise her site on our site.  It seemed to skew left.  And there was that “Peace Moonbeam” name and all.

Then, slow as I am, I kept reading and figured it out.

And I’ve laughed several times now since that day, even while in the middle of brushing my teeth, just thinking about what I’d read at Peace Moonbeam Chronicles.

It’s writing (“blogging” understates it) that has a long-lasting, positive mental effect.  I would call her blog one of the best reads ever.  And I mean it.  Even the pictures she attaches at the end of her entries stick with me and cause laughter in the middle of eating my soup.  This is different stuff.  This is special.

It’s nearly impossible to describe Peace Moonbeam and her Peace Moonbeam Chronicles.  And I won’t give it away by doing it for you.  I won’t include an excerpt as I usually do.  It’s something you really have to experience in full on your own.

Please visit for your own sanity.  If you’re not glad you did, then there might be something wrong with you.

Peace.
