As a former stockbroker, I always enjoy the days and weeks leading up to somebody going to jail for breaking the rules of insider trading and sundry other laws designed to protect me and my former clients and average Canadians. Justice is fun to watch unfold, as long as it does in fact unfold as it should. Nowadays I’m a little worried that it doesn’t always unfold the way it should for some odd **coughliberalcough** reason. And I’m not saying the Liberal Party of Canada and the fabulous Team Martin committed any such naughty acts, but again I am saying I enjoy the days leading up to big important people including leaders and their minions going to jail for messing with my country’s law and order.
For example, I loved it when President Bill Clinton was impeached by the House of Representatives on grounds of perjury, abuse of powers, and obstruction of justice.
But this is Bill Clinton’s simpatico pal Paul Martin we’re talking about here. Or at least liberals in general. So let’s play a little catch-up. It gets a little confusing because there is so much Liberal-left hypocrisy at work here—Liberal lies and scandal and perfidy on so many levels. First, here’s part an old story from the state-run CBC.CA People’s Web Site media division of the liberal-left (oops that’s a socialist scandal unto itself—but don’t let’s get confused even more):
MPs cry foul; Paul Martin’s doctor runs private clinics
Last Updated Fri, 07 May 2004 21:38:56OTTAWA – Opposition politicians are calling Paul Martin a hypocrite after finding out that his personal physician heads a private health care clinic in Montreal.
Dr. Sheldon Elman is the founder and CEO of the Medisys Health Group. He has been Martin’s doctor for 23 years.
Martin says he’s never used private health care. In recent months, he has been touting the Liberals as the protectors of medicare while painting the Conservatives as the party that wants to privatize services.
“The hypocrisy of these guys is absolutely breathtaking,” said Conservative leader Stephen Harper.
The company’s web site, lists its 2003 revenue as $53 million and says it provides health care to some of the country’s largest corporations. It also operates a chain of private MRI clinics. […]
So Paul Martin enjoys PRIVATE medical services for him and HIS family, but not for yours. Because you’re not an elite member of his Team Martin Liberal Party. You’re just a stupid Canadian who can’t be trusted with your own money and taking care of yourself and your family.
OK. That’s Liberal. We’re used to that utterly arrogant baloney from the liberal-left. But now let’s add the Liberals’ announcement on changes to “income trusts” taxation, made a little over two weeks ago by Finance Minister Ralph Goodale in November 2005, and tie these two things together.
Look at this chart—it’s a trading chart of Paul Martin’s doctor’s PRIVATE medical clinic corporation, Medisys (trading symbol MHG.UN-T), and note how trading volume increased the day before Liberal Finance Minister Goodale’s announcement on income trusts (and yes this company is operating through an income trust arrangement):

As you can see, the volume of shares traded the day before shot up enormously, then settled back down again after the Liberals’ announcement. There could very well be a plausible explanation for this, but off the top of my head I can’t think of one. The coincidences involved here are simply astounding. Astonishing.
If something were amiss here, this would be an example of just the sort of thing that many notable people in the U.S. recently spent time in jail for. Martha Stewart to name just one. I would love to know who, exactly, was trading in these shares. Of course records such as that are kept. Some people do know. They have this information. So of course our Royal Canadian Mounted Police, complete with its Commissioner who was appointed by Liberal Paul Martin, will have to be called upon to investigate this quickly.
And then justice will unfold as it should, I’m sure!
Watch for a another “I’m Mad As Hell!” tour coming to a neighborhood near you, starring Paul (”I dint know nuttin”) Martin and his Team Corruption ‘05, as he fires-up his big red machine’s Liberal defensive
asses
assets.
