Most mainstream news mediums are tracking this breaking story today… from 2003. Yes that’s right, the data is from 2003. No, this is not the Soviet Union.
It’s one of the most ridiculous things to have come out of this department of our oh-so-benevolent and increasingly big yummy government in years.
To even suggest in a joking fashion that Internet news consumption in 2003 is in any way related to 2007 after at least a couple of important Internet-rich elections here and in the U.S., demonstrates just how out of touch government can be. (And yet still, the politicians and elite captains of government (the liberals among them, in any case) want to spend your money for you because they think they know best.)
Actually by taking things like this and the likes of Layton’s you’ve got to be kidding party seriously, it demonstrates just how out of touch the old mainstream liberal media is too.
…umm, back in 2003 before blogs and news on the Internet had really even fully taken off, but you know, whatever. At least they spent tons of taxpayer cash over there at Statistics Canada (their motto: “Canada’s national statistical agency”!) putting out this utterly useless “study”.
