Amid stories circulating around the internet and in the mainstream media that Newsweek made a colossal blunder in falsely reporting a story—one which had terrible anti-American implications and caused upheaval and tragedy in many places in the world—we find that they have now officially retracted their story and apologized.
Of course, the damage is thoroughly done, now. People are dead. Nice work, liberal media.
Now already a radio station has canceled Newsweek’s weekly syndicated radio spot and another may be following suit soon. (Via WorldNetDaily)
A major Boston talk-radio station cancelled Newsweek’s weekly program due to the magazine’s false report that U.S. interrogators desecrated the Quran at Guantanamo Bay by flushing one in the toilet.
“Newsweek On Air” no longer will be broadcast on WRKO-AM, the station said in a statement today, according to a report by radio blogger Brian Maloney.
I didn’t know Newsweek had a syndicated radio spot.
[…] The program is syndicated by Seattle-based Jones Radio Networks, which is behind a number of liberal talk shows running on stations that feature Air America programming, Maloney said.
Stations airing the Newsweek show include WNYC in New York City; KXLY in Spokane, Wash.; WPTF in Raleigh, N.C.; WVOC in Columbia, S.C.; WTOP in Washington, D.C.; KBOI in Boise, Idaho; KTAR in Phoenix; and many NPR stations.
Well what do you know.
I have no doubt in my mind that the liberal media make these kinds of “errors” all the time. Constantly. Partly they’re careless as can be, and partly they have an agenda. Sometime I think they manage to combine those two liberal habits.
It’s happened to me personally at least once. One time, a Boston newspaper quoted me as saying something about the U.S. elections last year.
Here’s the article segment:
“It’s pretty sad the liberals have become so bitter, so angry, that they no longer know who the real enemy is,” Joel Johannesen wrote on ConservativeGroundswell.com. “It’s…funny how the Democrats are so terrified of Rove! They consider him a true evil genius.”
Interesting. I never said that. It wasn’t even at that web site that those words were written. It was at this web site, ProudToBeCanadian.ca, and the words were written by a discussion forum participant named BradB—not me. Great work! Solid fact-checking!
