Mayor Larry Campbell, who was elected mayor of Vancouver three years ago under the neo-communist COPE banner (no, not hyperbole: COPE was in fact founded by communists and communist sympathizers), has been appointed to the undemocratic Canadian Senate by the undemocratic Liberal Prime Minister Paul Martin.
Campbell is hilariously appointed as a “Liberal” Senator, notwithstanding his COPE ties and his presiding over a largely Marxist Vancouver City Council. The NDP, which sponsors COPE in every which way, will be puzzled, until they realize what country we’re in.
During the last federal election, at a big-city mayors conference, Larry Campbell warned Canadians not to vote for conservatives. He called conservatives “Barbarians”. He pleaded with Canadians, in a nationally-broadcast radio news spot, which I heard with my own ears, to vote for anything but the “Barbarian” conservatives.
Now he’s my country’s local Senator, whom I will help pay, and whom I’m obliged to respect as an honorable man somehow worthy of his new elite position in life.
The hell I will.
