**UPDATED 8:45 AM PT with more reason below**
At this moment in time, this site is getting a massive number of hits per minute. Why?
Because of my blog entry about Ezra Levant and his decision to print the Danish cartoons in his Western Standard magazine?
You’d think so, but sadly, no—at least not that alone.
My blog entry about the state-run CBC’s “nerve” web site and their “ball waxing” (and other such) videos?
I really wish that were the case, but sadly, no, it’s not that really.
All my other dynamic blog entries and my video flicks from my Audio-Video Vault which are suddenly attracting global recognition and copious sponsorship dollars?
No, not so much.
Well it’s a little bit of all those things, but also there’s currently an inordinate number of folks who are doing Google searches for the curling Johnson sisters of the U.S. curling team. Pictures, specifically.
I posted some curling pictures last year in the PhotoBlog. I was really focusing on Jennifer Jones of the Canadian team. But I stuck one of the Johnson sisters in there too.
Who knew.

Another reason why the hits to this site are up at the moment is that the Watergate paper is linking to ProudToBeCanadian…..
For Danish Firms, Boycott in Mideast a ‘Nightmare’
[…] “You can’t hold a whole nation responsible for what is published in a free and independent newspaper,” Rasmussen said. “I do know that it is very difficult to understand for many people in the Arab streets, because they can hardly understand how free and independent media work. But that’s our system. It is unfair to take Danish companies and employees hostage in this case, in an economic sense.” […]
They say “Read what bloggers are saying about this article” and list this site. That’s rich. I just saw the article twenty seconds ago and have never said boo about it. They point to our Columnist section (finally recognition!) but those columns were all written before today. So for the sake of clarity and accuracy in reporting, Woodward and Bernstein, our posts here aren’t actually “about this article”, they’re about the topic.
Glad to see the old liberal mainstream media is keeping tabs on us here at PTBC though. Maybe they can send in their modern-day version of Woodward and Bernstein up north to scope out the Liberal Party of Canada and their various and sundry “gates”.
