About the only solace I can find is that many of the Democrats who won, ran as relatively conservative democrats, knowing that that was the only way they could win.
And as I keep saying over and over, referring to both the U.S. and Canadian elections, conservatives lose when they stop being conservatives. Conservatism can win the day if conservative values are embraced its ideals adhered to. And when conservative people speak up about it. Why? Because the ideas are compelling and right. They appeal to Canadians and Americans. So speak up. Speak up. Conservatives lose when conservatives stop speaking up. I’ll go ahead and say it again: conservatives lose when they stop speaking up and defending the principles they believe in, and stop showing support for what’s right and for others who dare to speak up in open forums despite the risk and the setbacks to them personally.
I’m also glad that more people will get to know Nancy Pelosi and her far-left “progressive” San Francisco “values” better now. That will bode well for further conservatism. I’ll make a point of bringing up examples of her work for the benefit of Canadians as time goes on, though most of it should be self-evident.
